Traditional Elders Creating Art

The Traditional Elders Creating Art project is a project that
focuses on elders over 50 who create traditional art.
The Downtown Eastside Centre for the Arts has assigned
Monday and Tuesday from 9:30-12:00 for elders to come
together and create art in a safe and supportive setting at the
Interurban Gallery.
On March 21, in partnership with Native Education College,
we invite you to come and hear our plans, give your input
and feedback, help create a viable body of information about
how you would like to see this work done so that we can
serve you in the best way possible.
Right now, plans are being made to create a social enterprise
that allows us to sell your work for you at a fair and
reasonable rate.
We have been offered many opportunities to sell your work.
Also, we are planning an exhibit for May to showcase your
work.
